(ooc: which means no one else but the Admiral can read it!)
Dear Santa,
I've never written to you before so I'm not sure how this works. I know I'm supposed to ask for things and to expect them if I've been good. I think I've been good. I've tried to be, at least. But I did slip up a few times -- sometimes when it meant other people were counting on me not to. But I've been working hard to undo the damage.
Anyway, I know you're supposed to ask for things, but I also know that in some places and times Christmas is about giving things to people you care about. Since I can't exactly go shopping, I figure I should try to kill two birds with one stone.
For Major Henry West -- do you remember that compass I won off that Spanish Admiral? The one with all the blue diamonds and rubies in the casing? I kept it in a special compartment in the hold of the ship, so it wasn't in my cabin when I came here, and my item's the one my father gave me. I figure that you have your ways and you can get it. I'd like him to have that. (I'm sorry if you wanted a shopping list, but I don't exactly get out much.)
For Rube Sofer -- A nice watch. The kind that goes in your pocket. Not those ones that people wear on their wrists in later years. Those look stupid. With his name engraved in it. Something classy.
For Captain Jack Harkness -- Yeah, I kinda tore one of his shirts during this uh -- thing we did once. So he should have a new one. A nice one.
For Billy...Dr. Horrible? does that mean his full name is Billy Horrible? -- eh, now that I think of it, I haven't really tried to smooth things over with him yet, and if I ask for something for him it's just going to look like I'm trying to bribe him. I'll talk to him and get back to you on that one.
For the other Wardens I haven't mentioned -- I don't know what to ask for. What do normal people ask for their coworkers in non-maritime situations? A bottle of their favorite liquor. If they don't have one, a nice wine, I guess.
Same for the Inmates if they're not barred from drinking. [EDIT] Billy too.
As for me? Well, if it's not too much, and if I haven't done too much wrong to have it -- could you bring me King Charles? I really miss him.
Thanks for listening.
Merry Christmas?
