(no subject)
I'm currently sitting next to two jewish girls in the student lounge that are saying their daily prayers. They are reading from a mini biblelike torah (and here I thought the only torah was the one in the temple, but then again that in itself is a stupid thought...) and doing mini dancelike stances and hand movements. It's amazing.
I'm such a bad catholic. I may pray every day and not use God's name in vain and try to follow all the rules, but I haven't been to church (during advent!!!) for the last 3-4 months or so. Since summer at least. I'm such a bad catholic...
I can't wait til this semester is over. What was I thinking loading all this stuff on me? I knew I could do it, and I did, so its not like it wasn't possible, but I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I wasn't so stressed. I suppose 5 years of high school and 2 years of college have finally taught me something important- even though you can do something, maybe you do what you want to do rather than what you can, that way you're not praying for the next 2 weeks to fly by. From now on, I'll try to only do what I really have to and then what I want to. Everything else I'll try to say no to. It's just hard when everyone wants a piece of you.
I'm rather excited about completely going against my catholic ways during my stay at NP. However, I do not believe the bible says anything against drugs, alcohol, and rocknroll. It does say something about sex, so that's out. I'm pretty sure everything else is fair game.
I'm really tired and scared now of not getting into Ramapo bc of my sucky last semester grades and now this semester isn't so hot either. I'm not quite sure what I'll do. I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd be in this situation, doing all of this. I've done a lot of things I never thought would happen in my wildest dreams.
I just saw something that made me feel better.
