HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY

I wish I knew some really happy happy songs right now....because I want to sing them right now, I'm so insanely in a good mood.

First thing this morning, I had to read through tons of emails from a community I joined...people really seem to like pictures rated PG13. And my friends list seems to have doubled too. TEE HEE, just what I need, more journals to read. Looks like my nights just got a little later.

(and on a totally unrelated note, cartoon network just had a string of awesome commercials. The best one being the new cops stopping drunk driving. tee hee)

God I love cartoon network, but I've now wasted half an hour watching that instead of updating, I am a whore. Who is extemely hot. I need an air conditioner.

BUT ANYWAYS, after commenting and adding people, I finally got set to cut the grass. That went by pretty fast, only about half an hour. ANd then Dustin showed up. Actually he showed up before I cut the grass. But yeah. ANyways, the grass was done, DSustin was there, and we were hungry and needing to get to the concert preshow. So we went to the Taco Bell right next to Boogie records and got a Grande Combo. Mmmm soft tacos and burritos. And cherry pepsi. They weren't out of that, pimpin (inside joke between me and dustin, tee hee)

Then we drove off to boogie records, showing up pretty much right on the dot for the performance. It was a nice acoustic performance with Scott and James.

They played acoustic versions of (as it was an acoustic show :-P)

One Thing

It was really bad ass. I didn't think Scott would sing as well as he did, as all the other acoustic songs I have heard by them, he was really flat. This time, he wasn't though. He was simply amazing. I was in awe. Then after the songs, scott ran away to the back of the store, so we followed and talked for a bit, and got signage on the cd case. Then Their tour manager said it had to be organized...so they went back to the front of the store and we had to get in line. Talked to scott a bit more, got the most generic, not interested answers from Rich ever, Rick had no clue who they were playing with, Sean was really shy, and James...was....well james, and apparently knows the secret of the universe. But can only scribe it in arabic.

Afterwards we were bored, so we decided to go to Dustins house and play videogames for a good long time. Royal Rumbles are really really fun to play. Then we had to go (awwww, first time in forever toby got to play videogames, and he had to quit early). we got to headliners at around 5:30-5:45ish and played a game of pool. I had Dustin beat, but I scratched on the eight ball. God I suck. Then we went and sat outside. It was really hot. ANd I sat in gum. So I went to the bathroom and cleaned that up. Jake and Brooks showed up right before doors open. So we let them cut to the front of the line where we were.

Then they opened doors, and we stood inside for about half an hour, and they let us into the concert hall. Which Reena was already at, and apparently she saw us playing pool, and didn't feel like letting us know she was there. The meany. But no, she was really cool like last time, and cute too! hehehehe. (please don't kill me for saying that Reeana, I just tell the truth.) After like another half hour, the first band came on, Echo 7.

I wasn't expecting too much really....but, once again, I was suprised by a new band. They had some great Instrumentals, TONS of energy, and they sounded really good. Oddly, there was no moshing...I don't think we were really in Toledo at all...but yeah, I was really stoked by these guys. Check them out at www.echo7online.com . I'll Definately pick up the cd on July 29 when it comes out.

I ended up getting the playlist from the bassist, it has cute pictures, I'll scan it tomorrow. ALong with the finger eleven one I got, becuase if I don't Reena might come and kill me. So expect that tommorrow.

But Anyways...Echo7 had the quickest, most organized cleanup ever! It took like ten minutes max. And that included the amps, drumset, wiring, etc. ANd then the setup crew for finger eleven took about thirty to forty-five minutes to set everything up. And then another fifteen of just waiting. During this time, some really hot girl which i never got her name :( asked if she could be up front, and me being the gentleman I am, of course let her.

ANd then the band finally came out! YAY! James Definately got the loudest cheer, but hey, he's james, why wouldn't he?

I'm really starting to think that if they don't play this song first, they can't have a concert...but here was the set list

and as you'll see when I scan the play list....there was prepared encore! THEY PLANNED IT. Even though Scott tried saying Good Times was the last song, and laughed when we called him a liar. Anyways after Good Times, they did leave stage, but no one moved to grab any equipment, which is another sign that an encore is in preparation, so I did what was expected, and started an encore chant. Which was really funny, because my voice is soft, doesn't carry at all, and cracks when I yell, but thankfully everyone picked up on it. People also picked up on dustin lighter waving. It was humorous. But here's the encore songs

ONE THING
COSTUME FOR A GUTTERBALL
OTHER LIGHT
FIRST TIME

The whole show was simply amazing. I don't know how they did it, but it sounded perfect. The best concert I've ever heard...it was like listening to the cd in really loud surround sound with the heat up and 3d images of the band singing with the cd. That was a lot of explianing to say it was an excellent sounding concert.

I'd have to say, Costume for a Gutterball was probably the best performed song, with the lights, and the whole eery pink floyd vibe that was going on. For the Ocean was amazing, and conversations has got to be one of my favorite songs on the new cd. And the guitar games played for One Thing and Obvious Heart was awesome. Best described as a shilouette with a neck and bridge.

HEEE! I'm so happy! After the concert we pretty much just left. Dustin had to work in the morning, and I was generally exhausted for some reason.

So, everyone go buy the new finger eleven cd and be amazed.
