MY BIRTHDAY IS THURSDAY (why do I use so many parantheses?)
I have been nudged!!! As such, I feel obligated to post just because I feel loved.
Why haven't I posted? Hm, well, it might have something to do with the fact that, on top of obligatory school, I'm working 6+ days a week. Um yeah.
The good news is, I had a mental break down when one of my jackass bosses insinuated that I don't do enough work to deserve a raise (mental break down=good news, what? i know, stay with me). My main boss was told about the fact that I got pissed off at this insinuation and we ended up having a talk about how stressed I am with school and family issues and all that jazz and I did (unwillingly) admit to the fact that I can't NOT work 6 days a week, despite the physical toll it takes (I am so exhausted, like, all the time!!) because I need the money. Matt (big boss) jumped at that. I had been veryyyy reluctant to bring up anything to do with the raise because I didn't want to seem desparate, but he said that he "took care of" me. So, I'm getting the raise to 6.50. Not that much more (50 cents) but when you work over 30 hours a week...it's better than just 6 dollars. He also said that since I am staying for community college for a bit, he's planning on promoting me to Associate Manager which is another 50 cent pay increase (plus 50 more cents once I start closing the store by myself) and will pay for the college while I work. It's 40 hours a week on top of college, but well worth it IMO. Hell, I worked 38 hours last week and that's with MORE hours of school (and every day during the week instead of 2 or 3). I might as well get something extra out of working so much.
So that's my work situation, abbreviated. Other drama has been going on but we won't touch on that.
Um. Hm. I finally found a picture of my prom dress online:

It looks a little bit more...um. I don't know. It looks different on me because I have more curves. Big boobs. I guess it could look sluttier, but it could also look better? Depending on how you look at it, maybe. In person, you can see the sequins better. They're actually more gold-y in person and you can pick out more of the other colors, but it gives you the general gist from the pictuer. I'm so excited! Prom isn't until May, though. And I probably won't have anybody ask me. BUT I'll find somebody to go with and it will be fun. =) My mom was worried about buying the dress so early in case I found something I liked better, but so far I've looked at a TON of other dresses and haven't found anything. So that's good.
