ahhh feel good right now. played bout 3 hours of basketball. ate a huge chicken gyro platter at a nearby diner, showered and now listening to my ipod while eating cookies and cream ice cream(w/ real oreo cookies) from the container w/ a spoon. i need to get stronger. getting banged up by dave down low(that boy is too wide to get around and too strong for me to move). finished boilerplate rhino earlier today. still like the other quammen books i've read, but it seems like i didn't have as much fun reading it(missing some of his usual wit). still really informative tho. started reading fat land: how americans became the fattest people in the world. kinda interesting so far. for some reason, it's not keeping me from stuffing my face right now w/ ice cream. finally found a pack of floss in a bag of goodies from the dental convention so now i can floss again.
i just called my sister asking to see if i got my package of golf balls from ebay. she said "yes your balls came in the mail today" and then she cracked up. later on she asked me "so what do you want me to do w/ your balls?" and she cracked up again. yes very mature maggie.
no patients scheduled this week. all are either sick or for some reason in the middle of changing insurance coverage. very strange. i guess i'll be taking emergency patients that come in.
weather's getting warmer. wanted to go golfing this weekend, but it poured cats and dogs yesterday. bleh.
speaking of dogs, huy showed me a link of the kinda dog he wanted to get after he finished school. he wants an american mastiff(err english? mastiff). it's a gentle giant. emphasis on the giant. on alotta the letters from the buyers from this online breeder, they all say their dog is now like 170 lbs after a year old. i'm thinking, gracious that weighs more than me. then i see some pics where the dog standing up is taller than its owner. i read some of the letters that the dog owners send in and they're all about how gentle, sensitive, protective and caring these dogs are. they protect the families babies and children, get along w/ all other pets(cats included), and lotsa pics showing the family's children using the great big dog as a pillow. lotsa pics are of the dogs w/ a cat lying either next to it or on one of its paws. mastiffs supposedly make great pets. spent an hour or so this afternoon looking at pics and reading testimonials. i think i'm hooked. ok so i want a chin and one of these mastiffs(my wife better like animals).
ok gonna start reading the song of the dodo again(dunno if i wanna be reading fat land after all that ice cream i just ate).
