Why would anyone want to bomb a city as great as London! I mean the people there speak in accents so wonderful I melt just thinking about the accents! It's just a sad sad tragedy that makes me hate terrorism even more! I mean hitting us is one thing (we probably deserved it to some degree) but to hit London, glorious London, is just unaccepatable!!! There have been, so far, 2 confirmed deaths and there was at least 6 explosions in London's transport system. They haven't proved that it was the Alkaida (or however that's spelled) but they know it wasn't just an elecrtical problem and that it was definately intentional.
Next Topic, Dogma! That movie rocks! Ya wanna know my two favorite characters? Metatron, the voice of God, played by Alan Rickman (who is also Snape From Harry Potter and the voice of Marvin from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) and Silent Bob, played by director/writer Kevin Smith. Silent Bob has 2 lines in the movie. "No Ticket" and "Thanks" in the deleted scenes he actually sings a song to save him and Jay's butts and then gets another line later "Sure". Anyway Dogma's a fucking funny movie!!! It's one of my favorite Comedys right up there with Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!
Now for my third topic, Johnny Depp and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Johnny plays Willy Wonka and he is going to do a wonderful job making Wonka weird! "Once upon a time there was a movie star named Johnny. Johnny liked to dress up in strange outfits and make himself laugh. But sometimes his idea of fun would make the grown-ups uncomfortable. They'd ask him to be more like everyone else. But Johnny wouldn't listen. Then one day, the grown-ups stopped asking him to be like the others and Johnny was suddenly very, very confused." (Entertainment Weekly) This movie should be really good. From the trailers I've seen the only like I can remeber is that an old woman (I think a member of Charlie's family) tells Wonka, "You smell like peanuts." and Wonka retaliates by saying "Well, you smell like... old people." in a way that reminds me of Stewart from Comedy Central's MADTV. I think Johnny Depp really is perfect for this role. The film is not a remake of the 1971 film. In fact the writer of the screenplay never even saw that movie. This story come straight from Roald Dahl's children's book. I can't wait to see it.
Well those are my three topics for today! I hope you enjoy them and tune in next time for more wacky ramblings of the Gilmeister!!!
