So Barcelona was something else. Our day out on the town was nice. We went to Segrata Familia. Wow, that building is amazing. We also saw this park area that Gaudi designed. Our commute to the campsite was like three hours so we didnt get too much done on our one day. The next day we thought we would be leaving for Bern on an overnight train but it turned out we read our train timetable wrong and had to wait till morning for the next train out. Ya. That kinda sucked. We seriously asked at like ten hostels and hotels until we found one that wasnt all booked. The one we did find was the most gross dirty ass place Ive ever been. Oh well.
For dinner we had some real authentic Barcelonian cooking. Paella. I dont think I knew what I was getting into. Mussels, shrimp, prawns, the whole deal. It was really good though. I ate so much I was literally throwing up in my mouth for the next two hours. Hmmm.
Since we had an extra night in Barcelona and didnt want to just hang around in our dirty hostel we went exploring. We stumpled upon pretty fireworks and a carnival. I was too full stomached to ride anything but Julie went on an awesome ride. There were also tons of booths set up selling cheap lovely jewelry. Dana had fun.
This morning we were supposed to go Barcelona - Montpellier - Geneve - Bern but our Barcelona to Montpellier train was 45 minutes late so we ended up going Barcelona - Montpellier - Lyon - Geneve - Burn. Yes it was a mighty long day of training. I didnt actually mind though. Im a good half way through my Harry Potter book now.
Im excited for Bern. The city looks absolutely amazing and very safe. Super friendly people. Our hostel is amazing. Nicer than our hotel in Paris. Its kinda like a Country Inn, very homey. The lady who runs it is like a nice Grandma. Our breakfast is included, theres free internet, free bikes and we even got our own room with lock and key and everything.
Bern is where its at yo.
U guys need to update your journals more! I wanna know whats going down!
