You know, I really admire how you are able to make original characters come to life even though they are so briefly on the stage. Solomon Trimpley is the most annoying little tadpole of Umbridge's!! I want to shake him, except I'd rather not touch him....

And of course I also enjoyed this look into how Remus and Tonks met and the tender beginnings of their relationship (a disaster date looming? ;)). I liked how they communicated on a level completely incrompehensible to Trimpley, when Tonks took the lead on how to answer that question on the form. And I love the image of Remus hiding his smirk by bending over the paper and Tonks by smothering hers in his shoulder.

I look forward to seeing the next installment!

I am hoping your compliment about original characters is a good omen, lol - and one for which I thank you very much. Solomon does have a bigger part to play in part II, but I've had a slight technical hitch to proceedings in that I hit a sticking point, found Mr Gilpin is on holiday this week with plans to garden till we drop, and we've also been busy with Meta stuff. But I hope I've solved the sticking point if I can just sit down to write it.

Am also pleased you enjoyed this version of how Remus and Tonks met (I may have written every version possible by now, apart from a blind date;)) and there will definitely be a lot more of them working together against annoying little tadpoles. A description so apt for how I see Solomon that you must be reading my mind!:D

Thank you for stopping by to read this, it's much appreciated. :) How are things with you?

Oh I'm glad you thought it might be a good omen - far be it from me to encourage you to do fanfic instead of working on the original. *positively exudes innocence*

And wow - a determined gardener and Meta stuff! What is a poor writer to do? Good to hear about the sticking point though. And on tadpoles - if I read your mind it is only because you leave it so clearly here on paper. :D

I'm good - slightly panicky because of a looming deadline or two, but that's really nothing new. ;) And I painted something the other day, but I can't bring myself to show it to anyone because it is rather horribly sappy and romantic. I have officially squicked myself. *headdesk*

You can keep looking innocent. ;) This fanfic diversion is my own doing, though the gardening one that's mucked up the fanfic isn't!

What is a poor writer to do?

And the new car is arriving any day and phone call now, and I owe reviews in all directions... I can remember a conversation with you when you said how hard it is to work when Mr Hrymfaxe is home, and it's true as you feel so guilty when it's their very precious holiday!

I can't bring myself to show it to anyone because it is rather horribly sappy and romantic. I have officially squicked myself.

Oh, you only think that because you are Perfectionist Artist! ;) Be brave; it'll be something different from you and I'd certainly like to see it. :)

You can keep looking innocent.

Phew!

That gardening is winning over writing fanfic tells me something about your affection for Mr Gilpin. ;) And yes, it can indeed be hard to get anything done with the significant other in the house. Mine is currently a little sniffling, and every sentence starts with: "you know.. I'm really ill... Do you think you could *supply catering to his every need here*?" I mostly laugh at him and tell him he is pathetic, but those puppy eyes can be hard to resist in the long run.

Oh, you only think that because you are Perfectionist Artist! ;)

LOL! We'll see. I may still end up using it for the R/S games, in which case I'm not allowed to post it to my lj just yet. But you will probably get to see it in any case - and then we can all laugh at me. :)

LOL! It's such a man thing! Mr Gilpin never moans when he's ill, but he has a cold and he has to be 'nursed' back to health while he lies prostrate on the sofa or bed. This seems to involve waiting on him hand and foot, and serving a lot of nourishing food to fight off the pesky germs...

I may still end up using it for the R/S games, in which case I'm not allowed to post it to my lj just yet.

If you're doing sappy R/S, I will be nagging you for sappy R/T to even up the score. ;)

Which reminds me, would it be okay if I make an icon of your picture at Meta? :)

It's such a man thing!

I know! You know his not really that ill when everything you ask him to do receives the answer: "but I'm iiiiiillllll..." and the tears start shimmering in their eyes. Obviously the common cold is much harder on the male population.

If you're doing sappy R/S, I will be nagging you for sappy R/T to even up the score. ;)

LOL! It does seem a bit harsh to R/T that they should be angsty when R/S get the better end of the deal. If it helps, my other contribution to R/S is pretty angsty? (and involves a lot of hands, shoulders and hair)

You are welcome to make icons of any of the art I post. :)
