I am glad you have a good memory and can remember this! I really had no idea what I was going to write when I sat down on Monday (apart from a 'short' drabble), and started going through old stuff for some procrastination ideas. The TS Eliot line was fortuitous coincidence; something originally planned for the second half of this made me think it would fit as both a theme and title.

I don't know if I'm being a little too kind to DH Remus or not, but it's firmly fixed in my head that he was a) thinking every dream had come true when he got married at last to Tonks, and b) then watching every nightmare about why he thought he shouldn't also come to fruition before chapter 11's blow-out. As such, I do like the idea of the humiliating hoop-jumping going on with the Ministry, and perhaps Tonks appreciating what the harsh reality of all this is - after all, this is the place she works for and the job she is so proud of. So tough times ahead, but I want them to come out very much the winners in this. ;)

I like what you said about Remus being a 'private man'. He does seem to be, and it probably all adds to the pressure cooker situation!

Trimpley is a wood and village not too far from us, btw. Very pretty for walking in and round, and much nicer than Solomon, lol.
