When you start your new job, we can discuss terms and conditions. Being unemployed, I'm very cheap, as long as you realise that I'm hopeless with brevity and you'll need to give me frequent deadlines... ;)

I love the observations you make of the marauders. I love the friendship between James and Remus - how they know each other so well and intimately and still can be awkward.

I really like writing Remus and James. There's so much Remus and Sirius, and James and Sirius, but I like the idea of the relationship between Remus and James being not a million miles from Remus and Harry, in that they really care about each other but other things get in the way. And there seems to be lots to say about that. Sirius and Peter is interesting too!

It is interesting how we all think everything must be easier if you are rich, but of course that also brings with it its share of problems. I really wish that Remus would accept the book for James.

There's a real 'type' of public school boy here that I always imagine for James - a bit posh, a bit arrogant and very thoughtless because he's never had to think about others who don't have everything fall into their laps. But it's some act of friendship to do what they all did to help Remus, so I think the 'potential' wiser, kinder James is always there and perhaps it's Lily who finally brings that side of him out?

As for Remus accepting the book - in my head, as I was writing it, James went and got that book much later on and Remus finally took it in the spirit in which it was meant as he'd learnt a bit by then as well. (And even further on it played another role when he leant it to Tonks, but that's another fic for another day, lol.)

Thank you for such great comments, they mean a lot.:D And I'll see you in September!

How so? Have I forgotten something? Now I'm so curious (and slightly worried that it has slipped my mind..)

Oh I'm glad James buys the book and Remus knows to receive it in good spirit. And that it will play a role later on as well! Write woman, write! ;)

No! I just meant that's when you start your job so I'll be in touch to sort out my 'salary'. ;) This is what happens when I do replies late at night and miss out the very vital explanation words for pathetic jokes! LOL.
