The Rivals
I've posted another fic for rt_challenge, which is behind the link here, The Rivals It's a post-hospital fic if you want to run screaming now, but I can guarantee that no one utters the immortal words "Too old, etc.," and, hopefully, they avoid a few more of the usual things as well. Though not the importance of certain domestic items. ;)
Writing this has got rid of one on my "I-Must-Write' List, which is canon scenes or unseen ones that I kept thinking I must have a crack at because everyone else has, and preferably do so before 2010. I wondered if anyone else has got a list, or is it just me? Amongst mine still to do, are the battle at the Ministry, and the Patronus change one, so I'm hoping the prompt gods might be kind at metamorfic_moon when their new Lovers' Moon Fic Jumble starts. Mind you, a battle, Valentine's Day and Remus' Birthday don't really gel that well, so they're going to have to be incredible prompts.
As I know everyone's been having sleepless nights worrying about my cat problems; big fat black cat has been spotted approaching the house from opposite directions, which has just confused the issue. Meanwhile, one of our neighbours has asked The Husband if the ginger cat is ours, a fact he strenuously denied while looking very embarrassed (this was after I left my car door open yesterday to open the garage one, and turned round to find her sat in the passenger seat staring at me through the window), only to find our neighbour confessing that the cat apparently visits them, is allowed in their bungalow and, most amazing of all, takes no nonsense whatsoever from their two yappy, snappy and not terribly lovable terriers. I'm now convinced this cat is the feline equivalent of the Avon Lady, visiting each house in the road...
