Happy Birthday

I'm 99% sure of this.
According to her Facebook, which is covered in Congrats from her friends, one of my best friends in the entire world just had her baby Friday!!! I wish I could say I knew more than that, but we don't go to the same school anymore and I only imagine it's hard to update your status on Facebook with a new baby on board, so I am just going to wish her all the best, even if it's not true (though I don't see why people would be jumping up and down over it if it wasn't, unless it was a false alarm, but that's not something to get ecstatic over), just because I can.
I KNEW there was some reason I made a cake on Friday!!!
It sorta reminds me of this part in the book I'm currently reading (Cupcake by Rachel Cohn) where one of the main chick's friends is pregnant and looking like she'd ready to burst. Nine months ago, I found out about the baby (in real life, not in the book--it doesn't take me that long to finish a book) through an email, to which I replied with a phone call that involved a lot of "Holy crap!"s on my account and then silences because I was still in too much shock to think of anything to say. (Eventually I followed up with a "So, see any good movies lately?" which was entirely stupid but I didn't care.) Anyway, in Cupcake (and the main chick's friend's name is Helen) the main chick (Cyd Charrise, no joke, thank goodness) is thinking:

HELEN'S GOING TO BE A MOM! HOW THE F*** DID THAT HAPPEN?

Dude. My same reaction.
Except my friend isn't called Helen.
And even to this day, it's like I just found out about the baby again.
Holy crap.
But in a good way, 'cause now it's not so much a shock-shock, it's a good-omg-when-can-I-see-the-baby-shock.
I ramble now.
Anyway, congrats to mother and baby. I love them to the end of time and wish them all the best.

birthday, pregnant, baby
