Turkey Day, Black Friday, And the rest of it........

My Thanksgiving Day was quiet. Mom had an invite to go with some friends up to Red Feather Lakes to have T-Day dinner with them. I had no desire to spend three hours in the car in the midst of a hen-party, (that's three hours each way!), so I elected to stay home. I spent the day fiddling with model cars, doing a bit of sewing, and pretty much whatever I wanted to do. (which is all I asked for). Black Friday was spent where I usually spend it, at work. Our store had extended hours so it ended up being an eleven hour day. After work, my co-worker Tim came by the house and we wrestled the 20+ year-old mattress I'd been sleeping on since I moved here, up the narrow stairwell in order to finally bring my nearly-new Serta from the garage so I can use it instead. (you want fun? Try horsing a 200+ lb, king-size Sealy up a set of stairs with a landing in the middle!) One hour of back-breaking labor later, much Tylenol was consumed and I went to bed in my OWN BED for the first time in a year! I slept.......comfortably. (sure beats that old brick I've been sleeping on, lemme tell ya!)
Saturday was spent doing the usual Saturday stuff. Laundry, errands, and I even got over to my favorite antique-mall to get some "food for my old-soul". The evening was spent cleaning my ancient Necchi back-up sewing machine, and watching "Kung-Fu Panda-Legends of Awesomeness".

Today is.........work. (hoo-ray......)

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
