--> To be quite honest, I'm not particularly fond of this episode. Anyone else? That said, I feel the opening deserves a mention. The last time I saw this episode was probably four years ago, before I'd ever seen Rocky Horror, and the idea of Lorelai dressing as Magenta? Is probably the most delightful ever. Except, possibly, for the idea of Lorelai playing Tevye in a community production of Fiddler on the Roof.
--> The PSATs! Paris and her madness! Always fun.
--> Termites! Kirk silliness! Sookie stuffing Jackson in a closet! Jackson's pajamas! Mrs. Kim's paranoia! Oh, Stars Hollow.
--> Some sweet Luke/Lorelai stuff in this episode: just one more instance of Luke's willingness to help her out of anything. Also some lovely supportive Dean, which is always nice.
--> Lane the cheerleader! Poor Rory, fighting with her mother and her best friend in one episode.
--> Which brings us to the central plotline: Lorelai's reluctance to accept Emily's help. Their fight, their reconciliation, Emily deviously getting the last move.
--> I don't know... everything in this episode just feels sort of low grade, I guess? The Rory/Lane fight, the various extra plotlines, even Emily and Lorelai's conflict. But please feel free to tell me if you disagree.
