2x10, The Bracebridge Dinner
Written by Daniel Palladino
Directed by Chris Long

--> If ever there was an episode of crowing achievement in Stars Hollow hilarity, this would be the one. Where else, I ask? Discuss Roon, Michel, Sookie, Jackson Squire Bracebridge, the Kims, Kirk, Patty, Taylor, Clara... not to mention the snowman-building contest.

--> One of the few Emily-and-Richard-in-Stars-Hollow episodes, which is always fun. Discuss Richard's decision to quit his job, and his relationship with Emily. This is one of their most interesting episodes as a couple. Also, the three Gilmore girls together, and one of those fun Lorelai-is-more-like-Emily-than-she-knows moments.

--> Paris in Stars Hollow! Also always fun!

--> We get the beginning of some of the Sherry issues that crop up later. Discuss.

--> The Dean/Rory/Jess triangle persists. Those with an opinion, defend your men! It seems clear that despite Dean's role as the "good guy," this episode is far more sympathetic to Jess. How do you feel about that? What about Jess and Rory's scene in the sleigh?

--> Jess and Luke. In my personal opinion, Jess's relationship with Luke is the most interesting thing about his character. Talk about Luke as a parental figure and Jess's small moments of camaraderie with him ("We should've eaten before we came.").

--> Luke/Lorelai. The sleigh ride, the secret of parenting. The one area of life where Lorelai is the expert and Luke's just trying the best he can. Lorelai and her love of snowy winter.

--> The dinner, in general! How fun, right? Or would something like this have you screaming in terror in real life?
