Launch of Pearlie White x NDCS Defenze Antiseptic Fluoride Mouth Rinse

Last week, Pearlie White and National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) launched a Defenze Antiseptic Fluoride Mouth Rinse, following a study by NDCS during the pandemic on the efficacy of mouth rinses in reducing the SARS CoV-2 virus.
This isn't just an ordinary mouth rinse that prevents tooth decay and gives you minty fresh breath. It is ALSO halal-certified, has anti-viral properties and can potentially reduce the SARS-CoV-2 virus in saliva. With COVID-19 still very much prevalent in our surroundings, prevention is better than cure.
I was invited to the media launch last week but I wasn't available to attend, so Affluence PR kindly sent over a media drop instead.

I was most excited to try the Defenze Antiseptic Fluoride Mouth Rinse because I've never come across a mouth rinse that could fight viruses.
Besides, my husband and I have not gotten COVID-19 yet and we really hope to stay COVID-free forever. If swishing this mouth rinse daily for 60 seconds can keep COVID-19 at bay, WE'RE SOLD.
The mouth rinse was formulated with antiseptic, anti-bacterial and anti-viral ingredients such as CPC, Sodium Fluoride, Xylitol and Zinc Gluconate. There's also a mix of natural ingredients that likely contribute to the taste and scent such as Chamomile, Cinnamon, Echinacea, Honeysuckle, Licorice, Myrrh, Sage, Tea Tree Oil and Thymol.
Gotta admit that the packaging wasn't the most enticing but just like other mouth rinses, it left a refreshing minty sensation in my mouth after rinse-off. :)
I've tried various Pearlie White toothpastes over the years and I've always loved the quality and effectiveness of the toothpastes.
I'm not new to its Advanced Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste and I'm happy to have the chance to use this again. It's interesting that they even bundled a compact toothbrush with it. I might bring this toothbrush with me in my next overseas trip. :)
What's new to me though is the Powered Tooth Whitening & Stain Remover. Apparently, this battery-operated device comes with a whitening cup (and 4 other extra cups!) which can polish your teeth and remove unsightly stains. All you'll have to do is to apply some toothpaste on your teeth and polish away!
I was initially confused because I do not know how different this device would be from an electric toothbrush, which I'm currently using. After experimenting with it, it seems that this device is suitable for targeted cleaning, especially if you have stained your teeth after drinking coffee, tea, wine or even after smoking. It is meant to supplement daily brushing, not replace it. Great device to use if you need to get rid of last-minute teeth stains before meeting an important client!
If you click the on/off lever, the whitening cup rotates and erases away the stains. You don't need to apply too much pressure on your teeth to clean them. In fact, the device comes in-built with a safety measure in which too much pressure causes the whitening cup to cease rotation. Each whitening cup can last up to 20 polishes. Thus, with 5 cups altogether, you can expect to enjoy up to 100 polishes!
Lastly, this FlossCare Bamboo Charcoal Floss makes me want to ditch my current floss. Moreover, it's cheaper than my current floss too!
Infused with Activated Charcoal and Xylitol, the floss inhibits the growth of cavity-causing bacteria. This is wonderful because I have done a root canal this year and I don't ever want to go through it again. The Activated Charcoal also absorbs impurities while flossing.
What I love most was the experience of using this floss. I get annoyed when my floss breaks into thinner threads in the midst of my flossing. Not gonna happen with FlossCare because it is thick and sturdy, which makes flossing a breeze.
