Happy Housewarming with Honeypeachsg Bakery
Hey people!
After 2.5 months of staying in my new home, my house is finally ready to be seen by family and friends.
The first group that I hosted was my family, which was a large group of 6 adults and 4 kids (minus my husband and me). Dinner was KFC and pizza, as requested by the family, and I figured it would be good to end the night with some desserts that everyone could enjoy.
Presenting these delectable desserts from Honeypeachsg Bakery, with their cake taking centre stage on my table. The cake definitely stole the show that day, with my family and the kids marvelling excitedly at this glorious creation.
I chose a special Galaxy Moon cake to not only celebrate my new home, but to also celebrate Mom's upcoming birthday as well. This cake is classified under 'For Boyfriend' on Honeypeachsg's website as a men's cake but I didn't mind because it was one of the cakes that attracted my attention during my browsing. My family has never had a galaxy cake for birthday celebrations before so I thought I would introduce everyone to something new.
Besides cakes, Honeypeachsg Bakery sells desserts too, and I picked Brownies and Brookies. They also sell cupcakes, tarts and macarons.
The thing about choosing a cake online instead of in-person is that you couldn't be sure if the cake you've ordered would look as good as it does in pictures.
However, after ordering from Honeypeachsg Bakery, I daresay that their cakes were truly masterpieces, looking as good or EVEN BETTER than their pictures. It's amazing considering that these desserts were delivered straight to my doorstep. Special care was taken to package the desserts and ensure that they stay in shape during delivery. Even their packaging was pretty!
Delivery fee is a flat rate of $9.90 for islandwide delivery, though they usually offer free delivery if you're purchasing a promotional cake. Delivery timing is in 3-hour time slots from Monday to Saturday (i.e. 9am to 12pm, 12pm to 3pm and 3pm to 6pm), whereas Sunday is a 5-hour time slot (i.e. 9am to 2pm). My cake and desserts turned up at 10am on a Sunday so I had them in the fridge till my guests arrived. Pick-ups are available at Honeypeachsg Bakery at Tai Seng as well. Let's talk about the Galaxy Moon cake, shall we?
This cake comes in 4", 6" and 8" sizes, and you could choose the flavours within the cake. The flavours are:
- Chocolate Banana
- Double Chocolate Crunch
- Cookie Butter/Speculoos
- Fresh Strawberry Short Cake
- Matcha White Chocolate with White Choco Bits
- Sea Salt Chocolate Salted Caramel
- Strawberry White Chocolate
- Vanilla Raspberry
- Earl Grey Lavender (+$5)
- Hojicha White Chocolate (+$5)
- Premium Pure Vanilla Bean (+$5)
- Vanilla Lemon Curd (+$5)
Spoilt for choice right? Considering the number of guests and their preferences, I picked a 6" cake and selected Earl Grey Lavender as the filling. It turned out to be a fantastic choice because the Earl Grey Lavender was light and not too sweet. My elderly parents approved!

In case you're wondering if the golden balls on the cake could be eaten, nope they couldn't. They make great toppings but they're not actually edible. Cutting into the cake felt a bit like destroying a piece of art, but as long as everyone's happy with their slice of cake, I'm happy. My niece Astrid was certainly excited to have her own slice!
While the cake looked absolutely gorgeous with the blue buttercream, I didn't eat the buttercream exterior as I'm not a fan of cream on cakes and would usually scoop them out. Nonetheless, I went straight for its soft and fluffy interior and savoured it with the delicious Earl Grey Lavender filling.
My family also tried their Best Classic Moist Fudge Brownies which were awesome! Love their dense and fudgy middles and the taste of rich chocolate goodness.
A box comes with 9 brownies and each piece was bigger than expected. Additionally, they were on the sweeter side compared to the cake. It would be much better if the brownies were more bite-sized so that they would be less gelat. If you love toppings like marshmallows, cashew nuts and salted caramel sauce, you might wanna try their Rocky Road Fudge Brownies.
I didn't get to feed my guests the Brookies since everyone was full by then, so Yixiang and I saved them for ourselves. Brookies are a combination of brownies and cookies, and I gotta say that they were mind-blowingly good. I love brownies to bits but I love chocolate chip cookies more, so these Brookies were WAY BETTER than both my loves combined. Imagine a crispy cookie with a chewy and rich chocolate interior. Totally up my alley! They were quite addictive too so I had to try my best not to over-eat. Sorry that my guests had to miss out on this wonderful treat!
