Hey people!

Have you ever wondered what constitutes a fabulous life?

Is it looking beautiful and flawless? Is it being successful in your career and earning lots of money? Or is it being happy and stress-free? Ideally, we want to have everything but in reality, we win some and we lose some.

FABLife was started by founder, Alice Neo who wanted to inspire ladies to take care of themselves holistically and feel good everyday. With a slogan of 'Always Aspire', Alice encourages everyone to aspire to be better everyday and move towards leading a fabulous life for themselves.

During my meetup with her, she shared her personal story on how she used to be overweight and plagued with hair and skin issues. She was a career-driven corporate high-flyer but she was constantly tired and miserable. Thus, she decided to embark on a personal transformation journey. She hopes to use her platform to share her story and introduce products that have worked well for her body, skin and hair.

Like Alice, I have my own story to share as well.

At my current age, I probably look and feel the best about myself compared to the person I was in my schooling days. I was a late bloomer when it came to grooming and self-care. While other girls knew how to doll themselves up and attract boys, I was the nerdy and bespectacled girl in school who was tanned; malnourished; had a face full of acne; had crooked teeth and dandruff in my hair. Unsurprisingly, I suffered from low self-esteem and loathed myself greatly.

It took me a while to realize how important it is to invest in yourself. The greatest gift you can give to yourself is love. Love the way you look and feel everyday. Look after your body and be comfortable in your skin. Don't let low confidence and esteem issues get in your way of pursuing your dreams.

On FABLife, Alice shares products that have helped her in her personal transformation journey, which she has nicely categorized under: FABSkin, FABShape, FABRest and FABRenew.

FABShape stocks body-shaping pants and lingerie while FABRenew sells natural supplements for weight loss. FABRest stocks similar items as FABRenew, but they do have an additional product, the eye massager to gear one up for a good night's rest.

I'm most concerned about skin so I chose to review the products under FABSkin, starting with...

MoroSpot Aloe Vera Body Wash ($28 for 300ml bottle).

Made in Malaysia, the MoroSpot Aloe Vera Body Wash is a whitening and hydrating body wash that is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and eczema skin. It also contains a mild pH value of 5.5.

The Body Wash is also made up of the following key ingredients which contributes to its respective benefits:

1) Tangerine Orange

Deep cleanses pores and eliminates toxins. The peel of the oranges also contains Alpha Hydroxyl Acid (AHA) which renews skin.

2) Aloe Vera

Anti-inflammatory and helps in skin and wound healing.

3) Sunflower Seed Oil

Vitamin E provider and helps to balance the sebum levels in the body.

The product was thick and creamy so it was initially very difficult to get it out from the pump bottle. I had to add a few drops of water into the bottle before the product could flow smoothly from the pump.

Nonetheless, the product lathered into foam very easily and there was a hint of tangerine scent which continued to linger after wash. Although the price point was slightly steep compared to the body wash that you can get in our local pharmacies, this body wash could last a long time because I didn't need to use a lot of product each time for my body.

It was hard to tell if I've gotten fairer after using the body wash but the moisturising effects were very apparent. My skin was smooth, soft and hydrated after wash so I didn't need to apply any body moisturiser after that.

It's shower time!
