Flower Advisor: Preserved Flowers that last for years!

Sep 10, 2017 22:27

Good day, people!

We ladies love receiving bouquets of flowers from our partners, particularly during special occasions such as Valentine's Day, birthdays and anniversaries. We know that bouquets do not come cheap and the flowers are short-lived, which makes them even more precious to us.

Even though I'll try to prolong the lives of the flowers by transferring them in a vase and changing their water daily, I know that they will eventually still die within a week. That's why I'll always make it a point to take a photo with my bouquet, in hope to capture its beauty and preserve an everlasting memory of the flowers. How I wish that my flowers do not wither so quickly!

Now, here comes the interesting part. What if I tell you that you can get flowers that will last up till 3 to 5 years?

And no, I don't mean getting artificial flowers made of paper, cloth, etc. I'm referring to real flowers.

The beautiful vase of roses and hydrangea that you see above are real, preserved flowers imported directly from Japan and sent to me by Singapore Florist, Flower Advisor. Flower Advisor has sent me Naomi, with alluring flowers arranged within a pretty Sakura theme vase. I was in awe when I saw this.

Flower Advisor is an online florist that provides same day or next day 24-hour flower delivery to all parts of Singapore.

Even though this service isn't too different from the other online florists out there, I guessed what makes Flower Advisor stand out is that they also do same day International Flower Delivery.

Note: Full list of countries is not captured within this screenshot. Visit Flower Advisor for full listing.

This means that even if you are residing in Singapore, you can still order a bouquet of flowers to be delivered within the same day to a friend living in another country. They have local florists specially selected by their International Franchise Team to arrange the flowers and deliver them to the recipient within the same day. Their list of countries is extensive as well, covering Asia, Americas, Middle East, Europe, Africa and even The Caribbean. I'm very impressed!

Flower Advisor stocks a huge variety of flowers, ranging from roses in different colours to mixed flowers comprising tulips, lilies and sunflowers. They even have hampers and gifts which you can purchase for any occasion. Besides the typical chocolates and teddy bears, they also have whole cakes, wine accessories and flower soaps.

Flower Advisor's Preserved Flowers are clearly a best-seller because only Naomi was available in stock. Their other preserved flowers, Nobana, Sharumu and Ruka were already sold-out.

Nonetheless, I prefer Naomi compared to the other preserved flowers so I was still happy to receive it. Flower Advisor was also very thoughtful to send me a personalized card along with the flowers.

September is a special month for me because it is my birthday month. Coincidentally, I will also be celebrating my anniversary with my other half.

Thank you Flower Advisor for sending me such a sweet message and meaningful well wishes. Indeed, I will fill my September with lots of happiness, love and fun. :)

Aren't they absolutely gorgeous? These preserved flowers are carefully and delicately crafted to maintain the moisture content and the softness of the flowers. I couldn't believe that the colours still remained so vibrant and strong after special processing. It's almost like the flowers just bloomed.

When receiving fresh flowers, one of the things I will typically do besides admiring them is to smell them. Unfortunately, preserved flowers do not have that fresh floral scent but I guessed that's just something we'll have to forego if we want the flowers to last long.

Naomi may be small in size but its outstanding beauty and lovely colours will definitely liven up your surroundings.

Besides being able to last for 3 to 5 years (if handled properly), they require zero maintenance because you do not even need to water them. As a matter of fact, they are not strong enough to withstand water. Unlike fresh flowers, you can be spared from dealing with murky waters and ants crawling all over the leaves as the flowers decompose.

The only thing you'll need to take note of is to keep them away from direct sunlight and air-conditioning. Ultraviolet rays and wind can cause the flowers to fade and crack respectively. It is also highly recommended that you keep the flowers within the container provided.

My very own Naomi currently serves as a decorative piece on my living room table, well protected from dirt and dust. Since it can last long, I hope I can bring this over to my future home where I can continue to admire its beauty in the years to come.

Naomi retails at S$77 on Flower Advisor. If you love preserved flowers or want to buy them for a special someone, head over to their website and start ordering. :)

Thank you for reading, my friends!
