Just officially started with my postgrad applications! Scary biznis.
I need to speak to Brian on Monday and see if he'll write a reference for me. Not sure who my second referee should be, possibly Jim Stewart cuz he probably taught me for longest out of all my tutors (after Brian). But my actual course tutor is Ed Hall though I haven't spoke to him since 1st Year as he works in the Geography dept. Hmm.
I also need to write my personal statement. Eep! They say it's to be between 500-3,500 words.... So i'll probably aim for about 1,000. Though I think I'll get stuck into that after my Mediaeval essay is handed in on Monday. Definitely getting it written and submitted before I go home for my birthday in March. That's my personal deadline.
I'm trying to remember what it was like applying for undergrad all those years ago. Feels like a lifetime ago. This feels different. Back then it felt like a necessity, I just applied to uni because that's what I had always planned to do. This time I feel like it's more for me, therefore it feels much more daunting.
I'm terrified, yet so incredibly excited at the same time.
