Translation of Rock & Read 038 Karyu

I translated Karyu's interview featured in Rock & Read Vol. 038.
Since I don't want to restrict the translation to members of just one community, I decided to post it in my own journal, free for anyone to see who finds it in the internet.

Just for your information: I'm not flawless, so this translation isn't flawless either.

You are amazing for translation this interview *_* Thank you very-very much!!

I really like how the talk turned to be serious and "deep" - mostly about Karyu`s feelings as a new member of Angelo.

Enjoyed the parts about Giru. Btw, I don`t know anything about futsal team. What is it?

Maybe Karyu adds "san" when he calls Kirito, Kohta or Takeo because all these 3 men are older than Karyu? Compared to Giru, who is the youngest in Angelo.

You're welcome!

I like how most Rock & Read interviews are like that - not too shallow. Though to be honest, I have read much better interviews of R&R than this one (I was a little disappointed)

Futsal is a kind of soccer. It's played in teams of 5 persons. Looks like it originated in Brazil. During the past 1-2 years I got the feeling it was quite popular with some Japanese bands.

You're probably right about the san. Oh, the Japanese people and their age hierarchy =.=

Yes, I know. I remember I read, that many Despairs fans were disappointed with this interview. Everyone was hoping, that Karyu would speak more about the current situation around DR, but he didn`t mention about them a lot -_-

I didn`t know that Karyu plays football (though, now I remember some photos of him playing). Don`t you know if there are any videos of DR members playing football?

I know many Despa fans think he should have talked more about their disbanding. I personally think it's totally okay he didn't - it was enough drama already in that interview ;) what I'm disappointed about is.. I don't know, it's hard to explain. The last interview he did with R&R felt just so much more honest than this one. But of course, that is probably because he didn't want to talk too much about his negative feelings.

I have no idea if there's such a video. I don't know any though. Maybe they're so bad that they don't want it filmed? ;D

I guess, Kirito paid for this Karyu`s interview in R&R.
So I`m pretty sure, that even Karyu wanted to speak more about DR, it wasn`t very convenient for him to do this. He decided to speak more about "present" and "future" (that is Angelo), rather than the "past" (that is Despairs Ray).
That`s why this interview might look not very honest from the point of view of DR fans.
As for me, he was extremely honest. Maybe even more honest that it was allowed ^,~ Like his thoughts about "what the hell I`m doing next to these people" during the first Angelo rehearsals :D

I have no idea how magazines work in Japan. Do you really pay to be featured? In a way it would make sense that way, business wise.
Other than that, it also wouldn't be quite polite towards his new band members to say 'well the situation totally sucks, I'm torn and I want my former band back'. He probably also thinks about how many Angelo fans read the interview and how he can't damage their image if Angelo and overall of himself. And after all whining never helped anyone.

Yes, I stirred at that part where he mentioned wondering what the hell he was doing. I find him very honest during the interview too.
