Good timing, belive it or not
I have a cold. Not a terribly debilitating cold, but certainly am "I want to sleep for 24 hours" cold.
At first I was annoyed, since there was a bunch of stuff I was planning on accomplishing today.
Then as I thought about it more, I realized the timing of this cold was vary fortuitus. I work in retail, I see and interact with dozens of people everyday. it is inevitable that I'm going to catch a cold at some point.
Right now, it's still 3 weeks out from Christmas, and today is my day off work. Getting sick now is annoying, but if I had gotten sick 2 weeks from now, especially over the weekend...
I mean it's not like I can call in sick this time if year, not if I want to keep my job.
So I'm going to spend the rest of the day in bed, and count my blessings that I'm sick now, not later.
