(Not so much that we've forgotten, though - how much were Soviet women fighter-pilots ever mentioned in the first place, in the contemporary press or general public war history of other Allied nations? I don't suppose they're forgotten in their homelands.)

I suspect they might be (or were, until recently). But then, that's why I ask people to be my blog guests and I make sure they come from a variety of backgrounds. It's such a cool way to find out.
