Phew. I was watching the landing this morning with tears streaming down my face. I still remember all to clearly the search for body pieces last time. Ack. What a relief that they made it this time! I tried to explain the situation to my son, but I think he just thinks it was another emotional-mom moment.

I watched NASA's streaming video here at work.
The only thing I'm mad at was that it landed in CA and we didn't get to hear the Thu-THUMP! sonic boom we usually get announcing its return home. I remember waiting for Columbia's boom too....

Hey, those astronauts just have good taste. I was hoping they'd land here and whaddaya know. Missed the sonic boom though.

I've been messing around with Cingular all morning and completely forgot to check the shuttle's status.

Thank God they landed safely. I'm sorry you missed your sonic boom, though.

I was really concerned when they seemed to lower the safety standards. What's a little loose tile between friends? Thank goodness they made it safely.
