What can I say? I'm delighted that such a magnificent story was in any way inspired by my little offering! I am in awe of your skill, my dear. This was truly beautiful! And delicious! Your dialogue is superb and your descriptive use of language makes me ever so envious. Were it not for the fact that you share your wonderous words with us, I'd be insane with jealousy! *wink*

I shall quote many passages!

First, this line, It was there, tiny, but just where Zoe had said, a few mornings back, smiling over coffee, a quiet joke that was also an admission and, Inara hoped, a step forward. conveys so much in that one short sentence! Masterfully done!

Closer, oh God.
This whole paragraph, the continued use of 'closer' to build the anticipation, the arousal, the relief... It works so very well, I simply love it! Especailly the line I quoted ( ... )

Thank you Thomas! Your story really captured my attention, all the different moods, how the way Mal and Inara were relating to each other changed from moment to moment, so - dare I say? - torrid! Especially the end, where they both finally gave up being hurtful and tried a little honesty. It's a powerful move in real life, and definitely fic-worthy.

This was sweet and beautiful and steamy all at the same time. Excellent moments between Mal and Inara, I wish we could have seen more like this on the show.
