(no subject)
Yesterday was the sixth month anniversary of the day Tom and I met (...not including prom, or when I was four). We wanted to go to the ROM ages ago but so much of it was closed because of the renovations that we decided to nix it. A whole bunch of good stuff was still not open (like the DINOSAURS), but it's free Friday nights so we thought we'd go.
We're such big dorks - he got all excited about the Islamic and Greek stuff, and I love the Egyptian exhibit. We spent HOURS looking at that stuff. Tom took pictures of, like, everything - including this sword.
There were these incredible glass and ceramics exhibits. For some reason I felt moved to photograph this swan paperweight. I might have to add swans to my list of favourite animals (which so far consists of cats, elephants and penguins).
The real Winnie the Pooh? I'm sorry, but it looks like a werewolf... I recognise that the might of the bear is something to be respected, but this is just ridiculous.
Tom was supposed to work in Kitchener today but it's so snowy that he stayed home... so he's home but unable to come over. It's frustrating because I want to see him, but he certainly deserves a day off.
Today my dad and I are going to put down a new kitchen floor, I think. Hooray for moving!
