Amazing feats of pretzely-ness... and one beef.

I had a first in yoga class tonight. We do this one pose where you stand with your feet pigeon-toed just a little bit about 3 to four feet apart and then bend over at the waist, relax your back, neck and head and either leave your hands relaxed underneath your shoulders or reach out and touch your big toes. A really really good yoga person would then be able to touch the crown of their head to the floor while keeping their legs straight AND touching their toes. Tonight I freakin' did it. Oh yeah. And, Ok, so maybe it was because the heat index was 104 degrees today and I was sweating pretty good (but not as much as I did when I had to mow my father's lawn last Thursday... grrr) and that probably contributed to me being more limber than usual, but, I don't care. I touched my head to the freaking floor!

Also, the MTV Music Video Award nominations were announced today. Looks like I can lump it together with the Emmys as an award show I don't need to waste my time on this year... unless FOB decides to go... well, even then I'd only really need to watch the red carpet ego stroking arrivals.

Beef: Why can't I rent any of these non-musical band DVDs? I don't want to own any of them, as I'm sure I'd never watch them more than once, but I am curious to see them. DVDs like FOB's Release The Bats, The Used's Maybe Memories, and The Hives' upcoming DVD, Tussles In Brussels are not listed in Netflix's vast video inventory. For shame, Netflix. I suppose I could put on my crank hat and send a tersely worded email asking about the possible availability of said DVDs, but, eh... and on second thought, I might not even make it through RTB once. I just watched clips from it on YouTube (specifically, the Porn Ninja and Pete running into a wall) and I might be better off if I passed on that whole thing.
