Reno's smirk, his showing off, Rude's warning, the way Tseng looked graceful even when he was about to kill someone...Elena told herself to ignore it all. She wanted to focus fully on this moment. Hadn't she been waiting for it? Hoping, almost -praying- for it to come. And now it was here and she was-

Not afraid. It wasn't fear that she was feeling. But it was akin to nervous anticipation. She was aware that she was the most inexperienced of the four and therefore the most likely to be underestimated, not only because of that but also because of her smaller stature.

Her small personal crossbow was loaded and had been since the moment she'd received word, as ready as an inanimate object could be. If anything did cloud her mind, it was thoughts of her sister. Big sister could finish this alone and all in one shot, or so the story would probably go. Elena's entire body tensed and she bit down on her bottom lip in annoyance. She didn't release until she tasted blood.

And speaking of which...

The blonde took a deep breath in a final attempt to clear her head. She was a rookie. And she was a woman. But that last fact -might- just give her an advantage in this situation.

Because you should never take lightly something that can bleed for five days and does not die.

The thought was actually enough to coax a soft laugh from her lips. Her humor was short-lived however. How disappointed her father would be if he knew she gave in to amusement at a moment that should be strictly business.
