It was cold in his pocket. Cold and smooth and it shimmered when he moved his gloved hand, letting the high sun catch one of its curved sides, sparkling and using the glass as a prism, shining a faint rainbow on the crisp black leather that shrouded the small slender hand.
He took it everywhere. A part of him knew he shouldn't, but... oh, Mother, it reminded him of Mother, of his purpose, of what he had to do...!
What She had asked him to do... for Her.
"Mother..." he whispered, softly, sliding a finger down the length of the small jar, watching the swirling misty air inside it twirl and writhe for him. One day, this thing, this thing in his very hand, was going to be responsible for the clensing of Mother's world... and at his hands, Her enemies would fall, and Her world would be returned to Her.
... He could hardly wait.
Tucking the jar away in the leather of the coat he was wearing, long and fur-lined -- hoping the bulge would not be too visible, though he had no care if it was or wasn't. If anyone tried to take it, he would destroy them, rip them apart with his own bare hands. Mother's legacy would be protected with his own life, and he would die to protect what was rightfully Hers -- he began to walk further into the Festival remnants, wrinkling his nose.
Pitiful humans. Foolish idiots and their second-rate Gods...!
