How did the Clinton's do that? We can't blame them for Bush. Shit, blame Gore for not using Bill when Clinton was still at the height of his popularity during Gore run for the presidency. Blame Kerry for being such a stiff that he couldn't beat him during the second election! If Bill Clinton could have ran a third time he would have won that election easily.
People seem to forget just how much muck racking, slander, and stonewalling the Repubs did while Clinton was in office and he STILL left office with a surplus of capital and a balanced budget.
People remember all the crap and scandal that was present during the Clinton administration, but they don't remember who was behind it all and that NONE of it stuck! He left office an innocent man, skoff at that if you want to, but Clinton went before the impeachment hearings and walked out scott free!
Don't underestimate MCcain. He's got a huge service record (combat vet, POW for FIVE years, whole family has a long record of military service), mostly a moderate republican (that's why the Limbaugh's and the Coulter's hate him), and he's the front runner for the Republicans. The old neocons HATE MCcain, but everybody now hates the Neocons nowadays! MCcain is also really strong with the independents and other moderate conservatives. BEWARE!!!
What really scares me is the fact that whether its Hillary or Obama, the both of them now have to spend huge amounts of money to fight each other for the democratic nomination, leaving maybe spent to fight against MCcain.
We still might be losing this election due to infighting.
My dream is a Hillary/Obama ticket, but the party is getting so freaking angry at each other that this is getting to be less and less a possibility. I think that its great because Hillary would get to put her plans into effect and Obama could run again after being Vice President and he can tell them to take their "inexperience" and cram it up their ass, but I know that I'm dreaming.

Bill Clinton was impeached AND acquitted, he walked out of the senate and finished his term.
This was a Republican tactic just to add more smear to the Democrats all ran by Kenneth Starr on a witch hunt to take the Democrats out of office and to add SOME kind of bad thing to the Clinton legacy of his fantastic economic policy.
Obama did not sweep, he and Hillary split. With Hillary collecting ever important NY and California along with some other northern states and the south going to Obama.
As for Huckabee, he's OUT of the race but is just being too stubborn to quit. He might fare well in Texas, but that is one of his last chances.
Dude, I'm telling you fEaR MCcain!

Yeah, I caught the news of Barak's sweep with this mornings news. He was expected to take the next few states up until Texas and Ohio as he stated in an interview right after Super Tuesday.
If Barak goes against MCcain, he's gonna get hammered on that experience issue by old straight whiteman America but its not like they won't hammer Hillary on just about everything else anyway.
