Wednesday Rec
For once, I'm not reccing fic from a particular ficathon--instead, I'm recommending a particular series of stories by one of my favorite authors.
The Second Glances series by lostgirlslair (link goes to the memories page that lists all the stories; stories are rated from FRM to FRAO) is a Giles/Wesley series from one of the pairing's most dedicated writers. (Note: her Wesley is very definitely based in the BtVS S3 version; those who like their Wesleys more experienced and self-assured will not find him to their tastes, but I think this hesitant, uncertain Wesley is quite sweet, and I love seeing him grow more confident throughout the story series.) Wesley comes to Giles after being injured, and makes an accidental discovery about the other man that sets off a chain of events that takes them somewhere neither of them ever expected they'd find themselves.
There are five stories currently in the series (though she may be writing more!)--the first four tell the story of how the relationship came to be, and the fifth skips forward a few weeks to show them finding their footing together.
I've been using this fic as bribes to myself to make myself do some editing I didn't want to do (it's an older series, from 2004/2005, but I just discovered it a couple of weeks ago) and I found myself working at top speed so I could get to the next bit--hence the rec.
