2 Buffy/Giles stories

Hey, everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend.

My first choice for the day is a story set between seasons 1 and 2. Buffy and Giles go rock climbing on the beach and Buffy gets caught in a cave and can't get out. Turns out it's a virgin trap and the only way to get her out is for her not to be a virgin anymore. And as there are only the two of them, guess who has to help her. The problem for Rupert is that doing this with her is a guilty little fantasy of his. Add to that the responsibility he feels for her and his affection towards her and he doesn't feel worthy for this act. I really love how well this is written and how beautifully the love scene was handled. And it's perfect that the after effects aren't ignored either. This is a must read. It's called Passage by WorstWitch.

Now, I have no idea why I like this next story so much, but I do. It's set in season 4, not too long after Parker and before Riley. Rupert and Buffy are at her house training on her lawn. When Buffy is distracted for a second, he flips her over and pins her to the ground, pining her hips with his. A second later he finds out why she was distracted when Hank Summers is yelling at him to get his perverted self off of Buffy. After much lecturing and arguing, Buffy decides the best way to deal with her father is just to tell him who she is. She has the whole gang over, including Spike, who puts on his game face just to drive the point home. Rupert gets to do his "one girl in the world" speech. As Hank begins to understand exactly what's going on here, we get to see a picture of a family who love and support each other and see what kind of love the Watcher really has for his Slayer. I thought it was a fun read and I did like the characterisations. It's called Coming Out, by KatyD.

Anyway, have a great Sunday and happy reading!
