My first Wednesday Rec:
For my first rec, I'd like to offer an ongoing story that combines two of my loves, Giles and the Anita Blake books by Laurell K. Hamilton.
Title: The Key's Watcher

Summary: Giles and Dawn are drawn through a portal and into St. Louis in the Anita Blake world. Forced to live in that world, they build a new life and Giles, in essence, assumes the parental figure role for Dawn. The story begins when Giles encounters the Master of the City, Jean Claude
Why I liked it: Each story starts with a Giles' journal entry. Tara does a phenomenal job of getting his voice down. Dawn has been allowed to blossom outside of Buffy's shadow and is an enjoyable character to read. Te relationship between Dawn and Giles is quite tender and snarky all at the same time. But, the best is the interaction with Giles and Jean Claude.
