6 Rupert ABHs

Hey all! Today I decided to rec some ABHs. I know not everyone is a fan, but I have read some very well written ones lately.

My first choice takes us to Oxford when Rupert was a student. A spell gone wonky sends "you" back in time and we find a 20 something Rupert. The story is Oxford by Gylzgirl. It's rated at a FRT. It's cute and funny and well written.

The next one is set in Sunnydale during the high school years. It starts with a romantic dinner between "you" and Rupert, but there is a constant stream of interruptions ranging from a Xander/Anya argument to spell advice to Slayer whineage. Again, it's by Gylzgirl and it's called Interruptions. It's rated FRT. This one gets big humour points and extra kudos for using the phrase "Hellmouthian Keystone Cops routine."

Let's up the rating a bit, shall we? (We can't have ABHs and no shaggage. I think there's a law about that.) This one is a bit longer than the other ABHs, but it's a lot of fun. "You" are a teacher at the high school and the girlfriend of the sexy British librarian. The story starts out with "you" finding him hiding under the desk in your office, but as things start to get good Principal Snyder walks in to yell at you about something. But this doesn't stop our intrepid Watcher from having his fun. Lucky for "you" Snyder thinks you have the flu. Just when he leaves, Buffy and crew come looking for Rupert. But not to worry. Once Buffy figures it out, they quickly leave and the shaggage commences. But we couldn't leave it there, could we? After quick shagging, "you" have to teach class. Except Rupert is leaving erotic notes in your books! Leaving Willow to keep order in the class, you hunt up Rupert in the library. But he isn't there. But isn't payback fun? Now it's your turn to hide under a desk. The story is called Faculty Meetings by Kazza, Cassandra, M. Golem, and GylzGirl. It's most definitly FRAO and it's some good shaggage fun.

Are you up for a trip down memory lane? This one is set in season four. You are still Rupert's girl. The set up for this...well, I can't do it justice, so I'll just quote: " 'What a stupid way to die,' you think to yourself as you sway back and forth, carried half-conscious over the shoulder of a 6 foot tall Gryptyr Demon as its mate keeps step beside it. From what you've been able to glean from the conversation, he forgot completely about their anniversary and she was royally upset. To make it up to her, he promised her a virgin sacrifice to the Hellmouth Demon and then a moonlit picnic on the beach. You just happened to be walking along, on your way to Rupert's, wearing a white dress. Despite your fervent protestations of non-purity, your outfit was enough to convince the simple-minded but obnoxiously strong nether-creatures that you were indeed untouched." How can you not like a story that starts out like that? And where is the Hellmouth Demon? In the charred remains of the library of course. Luckily for you, your hero comes to the rescue. This one is called What Remains by Kazza and GylzGirl. It's FRAO and I give it extra points for cute writing and good use of humour.

Next is a story set in season five Sunnydale. You are dating the owner of the Magic Box and are out to dinner on the night of your one month anniversary. On the way out of the restaurant, you are attacked by a scary looking man who turns to dust when Rupert stabs him with a stick. Huh? Watchers, Slayers and the rest of that crap... by Sandra Pascoe is a cute take on how Rupert would break the news of who he really is and what he would expect your reaction to be.

And lastly, I give you another FRAO ABH. This one has you as a British student in Sunnydale working on your thesis. You work in a bookshop and who should come in to buy a latin dictionary but the sexy owner of the Magic Box. Later that night when you are mugged, who should rescue you, but the same sexy guy. He walks you home and you make him dinner. It leads to more interesting things. It's called What's Latin for Chocolate? by Ruth.  There are random words in what I think is Latin that I couldn't figure out how they fit into the story (Such as "Vir pulcher" put in right after Rupert undresses. ) It really didn't distract me or take from the story, but it did make me blink. Anywhom, what is there not to like in a story that has smart, sexy, naked Rupert writing poetry on your skin with chocolate body paint?

Hope you enjoy these!
