Giles, in England in season 6, continues to lay ghosts, stake vampires, and investigate demons. The first part is called, plainly, "Ghost Story". It's the tale of Giles meeting his statistically improbable new friend in Bath.
The series overall is unfinished, and it leaves off in the middle of a most fascinating mystery, but I found it good reading anyway. Adult reading, not in the prawn sense, but in the age-of-the-characters sense. Giles' relationship with the Council is complex. As is the growing relationship with his new friend.
