Drowning in Shit Creek

Earlier this year, in May, I graduated with a two-year degree from the community college in my hometown. It took me longer than two years, but I was never in a hurry to finish. I used to believe that everything happened for a reason. I guess I still kind of believe that, although in a different way. Like you said, no matter what happens, bad or good, we're always gaining experience points. Actually, it's the most negative experiences in my life that have had the most influence on me. Those are the ones I've learned the most from, the ones that have shaped my beliefs. This isn't the first time I've felt like I'm "drowning in shit creek." If I managed to pull myself out of it every time before and make things better, I can do the same this time around.

I still want to finish my education. I'll never go back to UNCC because I fucking despise that entire institution. UNCA is where I should've gone, and where I plan on going sometime in the future. I guess in the next few months I'll try to find a job, work, save some money, buy a car--- and, most importantly, write a shitload. UNCA may come after that. I don't know. The future is too unpredictable. There's no sense in planning things out to an exact. We don't have very much control over our lives anyway. Something Else out there is steering us along. I think occasionally It may stop the car to let us out for awhile and make our own decicions, but often I feel like I have no free will, like every decision's already been made beforehand. Or maybe I've just smoked too much pot over the last couple of months.
