Yet another instrument

So folks, I'm still crushed about Avenged Sevenfold and Jimmy. I guess it won't ever be even close to okay - no matter how much time passes. Why is this getting me so much? Gah! But on a more brighter note - I FINALLY GOT A KEYBOARD, HEY-HEY!

My lovely sister-in-law learned to play the piano and had this nice instrument lying around and gathering dust. And I was just DYING to start playing the piano. So, it's put to good use again. After what must have been over 15 years now - new is different, I tell you. But I love it! The only thing I sorely miss is the weighted feel of real piano keys.

Who starts with harp and moves on to keyboard only ten years later is the question. Someone who only recently discovered a new musical motivation. Namely that she liked to do metal tunes on traditional instruments quite a lot. Anyway, as most metal stuff has horrible key changes, I can only do very few pieces on the Celtic harp without slowing down and/or ridiculously simplifying the left hand (which kinda opposes the whole fast and soundscapey idea of metal, you know). So, time for keyboard. I attempted it once, when I was about what, ten or so, but capitulated when it came to playing two-handed. Then I got to learn harp the proper way, with a teacher and not on my own like before. When I first sat down on a piano again, a couple of years back, I found that it was actually no problem playing simple things.

So I'm curious - which instruments would you like to learn or which can you do already?
I can do Celtic harp amateur-properly (three years training, overall ten years on and off now). I also considered playing the sax, when I had to decide for an instrument. Later I tried Xaphoon (a kind of flute with sax-sound), but I found that wind instruments are really not my thing. I started on guitar but suck at anything other than basic strumming. Now I'm starting on piano which is so much fun that I actually think I'll keep at it. What I also would want to play is drums - I had some lessons in African drumming with a group and that was really a lot of fun. Have I mentioned that I love music?

things you never wanted to know, driver picks the music, me on harp, the so called real life
