Today should be a happy day. I survived Jazz Band. I gave a good introduction for a possible essay question on monday's test. I didn't have Grande because of guest speaker (which was awesome!). That is egghead naivete, in the extreme. I also hope that no one tries to kill me because I frequently wear to dark, loud, unsecured parties a big, black, markered swastika on the outside of my left arm, yet it is unlikely that this hope will survive indefinitely, especially since people I don't even know IM me death threats, but I digress, and now back to you ...

You are looking for what is legally known as a bright line test. That's where you can draw a definite line between when you should act and when you shouldn't, between how to act and how to not. In your situation, this test probably doesn't exist, and you probably don't want to end up being the case which defines the test for this particular situation in your state.

Legally, you may defend yourself with the minimum amount of force necessary, but if you seriously hurt the other person, then you will be arrested, and the courts will decide whether the amount you used was the minimum. Where you live, you are a minority, and the DA will likely get you for being a racist, while pointing out that as an HGMer, you should have been smart enough to know better - better, of course, than the mexicans, who are too poor (or somehow otherwise disadvantaged) to afford your kind of education.

If you are arrested, don't expect any justice. You live where OJ lives, but you aren't him. Every person in our so-called justice system has their own agenda, and it rarely involves discovering the truth or being fair. For instance, where I live, it is okay for the DA to introduce "prior bad acts", such as convictions for crimes similar to the current charges, but it is very much NOT okay for the defense to state for the jury, at any time in the trial, that their client has never been arrested for anything.

Basically, anything you do can get you arrested and/or expelled, but you will have to act if you don't want to be physically hurt by scum who are willing to attack you for what may be no reason at all (which is something intelligent people find hard to believe that anyone would do).

If you are going to physically fight back, then I suggest you go straight for the throat. If you want to fight back physically, but don't want to hurt them, then get a stun gun. The attacker may die from shock, but more than likely will drop, spasm and be okay in a few minutes. This might keep you from being arrested, but you might be expelled if the gun is considered one of those zero-tolerance weapons. The last option I have for you is to be smarter than the genetically-inferior mutants.

You need to think outside of the box, and in this case, that means outside of the actual confrontation. Get together with the other HGMers to conjure up some non-physical means of winning the overall war, rather than punching it out in a single battle.
