Play!
My mom got this package thing, so once every two months I get to go to the Mark Taper Forum to watch a play. I've seen a lot of great plays over the years, such as Like Jazz, Electricidad, Radio Golf, The Goat, and more. Today's was special, though. 90 minutes, including intermission. It was a lot like school, as in, every line had at least one swear word or racist comment, usually both. The play: "Romance", by David Memet.
Here are some favorite lines:
"Of course he knows you're Jewish! You've been screaming Goy C0ck-sucker for an hour"
"I *pause* am a homosexual."
"Are they all fags?"
And my favorite sequence (between a gay, conservative prosecutor and his husband)
Prosecutor "#### you!"
Barnard "#### you, too!"
Prosecutor "No, #### you!"
Barnard "No, #### you too!"
*Barnard storms off in a huff*
Prosecutor *shrugs, picks up phone* "Hello?"
It was great, and the audience that likes it most are the elderly Jews. Go figure. I hope this post doesn't get censored. Fill in the blanks if it does. Any four letter words should be fcuk, with the middle letters switched. Everyone should see it! xD
