game of thrones thoughts (no spoilers)
So I watched the new season yesterday while cleaning and doing laundry, and something struck me.
The sex on this show is so boring. The naked bodies are so. boring.
I don't watch porn, so I dunno, but sometimes it just feels porny with all the humping.
I mean, everyone pretty much the same color and body type. All the ladies have basically the same boobs (does no one in Westeros have large boobs? No, apparently). All the dudes are pretty hairless from the neck down, and they just sort of hump at each other.
Also there are no penises. Booooo, why do I have to look at lady minge all the time and not get any penis?
There's a lot of sex!???!!!!! in this show, but it's so trite and meaningless in boring that it's just like realllllly can we please go back to Littlefinger and Varys having a Men's Nightgown and Backstapping Plan Off? The Loras/Other Blonde Dude sex scene was nice because it was passionate and it looked like they each had agency and were having fun. Same with the Jon/Ygritte scenes. But all the other ones where girls and women strip are like, okay. You all have the same. body. (small boobs, small hips, small ass). And they just kind of... sit there. For the male gaze, I guess. I personally think: how do you live in medieval filth and not have body acne?
