Yes, I am from Canada-land actually. I lived in Calgary for 6 months. Wanna hear a funny story? Too bad, you're getting it anyways! lol
While I was living there, a friend and I went out on New Years, to a restauranty-pub sorta place, and they had all their tv's turned to the Oilers vs Flames game. I must not be a true Canadian, cuz we ended up leaving before midnight. Although part of that was cuz we had to catch the train before they shut down for the night, lol.
And my family is in Nothern Ontario, and apparently they all speak an Acadian sort of French, which was fun when I tried to get my parents to help me when I had to take French in school.Yay for different dialects within a single language!!

Reply button, darling, otherwise I don't get notified that you answered!

Where are you living now? I'm in Quebec but I lived in Ontario for 7 years. Dad has an uncle in Northern Ontario too, but he's a Quebecer.

Sorry, peaches! I'm still really new, lol. Right now, I'm back in Ontario, but I'm hoping to change that in a couple years. My parents are both from Northern Ontario, but they a a big group of their friends moved South when they were young, just before they got married, but as far as I know, nobody from my family is from Quebec.

Where are you thinking of going? Back to the land of Stampedes and oil sands?

My dad is from Lac St-Jean which is a bit like Quebec's Texas, and my mom is from the Montreal area which is where we live now. They met in Germany though lol.

No, I'm trying to work things out for me to be able to go overseas and do the whole ESL thing. I'm gunning to go to either Korea, or Japan. I'd prefer Japan though.
It's kind of funny, I had just missed the stampede when I first moved out there, and when I moved back in with my parents, I just missed it again, lol.
Are you not originally from Montreal? I've heard it's nice there.

Ooh, sounds fun! My friend's sister is teaching ESL in Korea.

I was born in this area, but since my parents are military I spent most of my life elsewhere. I've lived in Winnipeg (until I was 3), near Quebec City, then Southern Ontario until about 3 years ago.

I personally love Montreal. She makes my heart flutter, that sexy city :')I liked Ontario (I can't really remember the other places) but when I moved back here I found myself wondering how I'd gone so long without Montreal. It's a totally different atmosphere from in Ontario.

I bet. I wish I could go to more places, but other than living in Ontario, and Calgary for those brief 6 or so months, I've only spent a couple weekends in a small town in Saskatchewan. And when I say small, I mean really frigging small, lol. My mom's family is all out there, and we've gone to a couple family reunions there. My one aunt took the bus out there for one, and she literally had to stand on the side of the highway for the Greyhound to pick her up on her return trip :)
I'm really hoping that I can get this ESL thing figured out, I'm running into a few roadblocks right now actually, it's slightly frustrating.

Thanks. I've got my fingers crossed, and I'm trying to not stress out too much about it.
