a thousand screaming bluebirds

Follow up on the Television show:

Amazing. This was not a shabby pathetic reunion show. This was a band in top form still growing with leaps and bounds. The vast majority of the set was unreleased new material, which surprisingly held up against or even surpassed some of the older stuff. Tom Verlaine's playing made me feel everything. He's a better musican than he used to be, which is saying a lot. Richard Lloyd was a motherfucker too, as was the rhythm section (fred smith, and billy ficcia). Seeing them perform finally was intense and surreal, and well worth the money. I can't wait till the next album finally comes out, when that will be, god only knows.
