Hey, who wants to go see Television (!) with me March 24th at the Paradise? I will wreck my diaper hearing those songs in a live scenario and I need someone there to make sure I get home ok. I still need to get tickets so get in touch fast if'n you're interested... Ryan Z you better be there.

They're playing two nights at Irving plaza sometime before the Boston show. I ordred my ticket already becuase I got paranoid... Fair warning, it cost me an arm and a leg ($31 after the "handling fees"). But if you think about how many hours of my life Ive spent dissecting and just being in love with Marquee Moon, its entirely worth it.

A year from now I'll still remember seeing one of my favorite bands, I will not remember the $31. I probably would have pissed it away on food or somthing. Besides, it's not like I can shop around and find a better deal. And boycotting the club based on principal would only result in my not seeing television. I know you don't like them so this sounds like a ripoff, but until they decide to play the HOSS or something, I will pay what I must.

I agree with you on most points. I usually don't go to expensive shows. This however is an exception due to them being one of a kind. They are one of the few bands that didn't get back together to work the reunion circuit, they actually continue to write new music and push their sound forward. 30 years ago, nobody gave a shit about them. And only one guy (richard loyd) was a herion addict, and he's been clean for a really long time.

So there... Rock and roll is good, economics are bad, and I'm sure Tom Verlaine is sitting on a golden throne in his castle right now thinking about how he's going to spend my money. Muah-hahaha!!!

It's better than paying $31 to see Incubus.

With no exageration, I would pay over $500 to see the Pixies. But then again I've been waiting for this moment for 10 years.

Yeah, but I'ma be in Paris. They get together every few years and play a couple scattered shows from what I understand. You're in for a spectacular evening, my man, I hear that they're utterly amazing live and that they play lots of stuff people haven't heard. I hear rumors that they're working on an album.
