Imagine all the hundreds of people who ran, just caught a train, and because of that got to a business meeting that saved jobs, a wedding of close friends, a holiday they had paid £1000 to go on.
People do a lot of running, and a fair amount of waiting. It's probably better to allow them to judge the benefits and risks of something they do, rather than being absurd.
