This pleases me immensely. I love that Johnny's trying to look out for Henry, and that Henry is the vulnerable party here.

The kiss made me drum my feet in glee and coo quite a lot. Fortunately, I am feeling better, so it didn't hurt to coo.

Partnership is a beautiful thing.

Also, and apropos of this, sageness requested The Sting for Yuletide. She's good people, and would appreciate this story.

I'm so glad!

If you like the fandom, I recently made a pimp list for freakishgeek over here:

So, um... are you interested in writing drabbles (or longer stories) in this fandom? Because I'd love to see what you do with it.

Here from sageness' rec and I just have to say how much I love this. I love how very, very well they know each other, Johnny's worry that comes out as anger, and Henry...I just adore everything Henry does in this.

I just adore Henry in general, so, yeah. :)

"The Sting" is such a gorgeous movie, and there are so many good stories (gen and het, as well as slash) just waiting to be written in this fandom! Not to mention vids and icons and art...

There are! Is it up for Yuletide this year, do you know? And yeah, I could really go for an icon or two. Heh--now I'm thinking about wallpaper. Which tends to be what I make when I'm feeling halfway artsy.

Yes, it is on the Yuletide listing! I can only hope we get some stories out of it!

Wallpaper! Wallpaper would be *lovely*! I know that tinted_glass has some lovely screencaps, etc.

Also, mbicons made some The Sting icons. Direct link in this post of The Sting goodies.

Oh, I'm so sad I missed this! But then, that meant I got to read it tonight instead. Mm.

This was so delicately written, the tension in Henry that Johnny picks up on right away, the way they work together so seemlessly, and yet still somehow Johnny didn't get it. That's the best thing: that Henry's still always a step ahead, but Johnny's ready to follow him all the way.

And now thanks to you I have a Billie icon, but no space for it. *sigh*

(P.S. Car is ok. Told Tanya you are not death on moving vehicles. Possible she does not believe me. /stop)

Thank you! I'm so very very glad you like it!

Billie icon! Can you show me?! Because Billie! I love Billie! (And Billie and Henry's relationship, but also, just... yeah. She's beautiful and smart and independent and soft-spoken and talented and classy. And there's nothing like that sashay.)

Am glad car is okay. So... what *was* that sproinging noise?
Um. Our car seems to have miraculously self-fixed. Or at least all four of the dire warning lights turned off and haven't come back on. One wonders...

Of course I liked it! You hit all my buttons and then some. ^________^

I got the icon from the mbicons post you linked. It was #22.

Some sort of Y-join or something in the steering column. Took them 2 minutes to fix it once they took the steering column apart. Warranty, I love you.

But um, I srsly do not trust warning lights that go off. I recommend bumping her checkup up a little bit - like to now if possible. I know you're crazy-busy, but trust me when I say you need a car that does not die on you.
