Today was a rocking day in NYC. To think we were even thinking about not going to the city today since it was just going to be me and my friend. Usually we go with a group of 10 people and we act as tour guides in Chinatown. Not this time. Colleen and I hopped on that train and trooped to this Cantonese restaurant her cousin recommended. We decided not to go for dimsum since we thought all the dimsum houses would be full because of the tourists and things. Sure enough, we were right.
We got there around 1pm and Chinatown was PACKED. The roads were dirty too with the melting snow. Yuck. It was so gross. We literally ran to the restaurant which was on Bowery called Congee Village (highly recommended). We sat and ordered...A LOT. Take note that I was starving and unsatisfied with my meals for one week.
Here's my braised tofu with seafood....

I packed all the leftovers home so now I have something to eat every day of this week! YEY!!!!
I won't be starving anymore.
After eating, we hung around the area. We got ice cream from the Chinatown Ice Cream Factory and each had Almond Cookie and Black Sesame Mix. MMmmmm..so good. We stood on the sidewalk in the middle of all the chaos just eating our ice cream. We must have stood there for like an hour before we decided to get bubble tea at the nearest place. Not so good. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

We met up with our friends and met their new boyfriends which was really awesome. We didn't expect to go home so late. We thought we were gonna get on hte train at four. But no, we got on the 2nd to the last train. Wow.
I'm tired but I'm not yet sleepy. I'm too ecstatic over what a great day today (or yesterday was).
Wow.
