Moving Away...and Fear and that BOOK BLOCKADE

May 24, 2009 01:25

This impending move to China is scaring the living daylights out of me.

I'm not really a get-scared-cause-I'm-moving person but I think the thought of the language barrier is scaring me.

I've taken steps to bridge that barrier by having a private tutor since the start of this year. So far, I can read Chinese characters already without pinyin. Reading is totally different from speaking. I'm afraid that because I'll get culture-shock, I'll just get paralyzed with fear and not be able to say or remember to say anything.

I hope the Philippine Airport doesn't handle me about having knives in my check-in luggage. "Miss, may itak kayong dala?"
ME: FIRST OF ALL, I AM A CULINARY STUDENT AT -BLEEP-. SECOND, that is NOT JUST AN ITAK. THIRD, It's in CHECK-IN. WHAT DO YOU CARE???"

The U.S. never cared about having my knives in my luggage. They're all in my knife kit, arranged with knife sheaths. DUH. Do I look like a terrorist to you?!

Please God. HELP ME.

On the American Idol Season 8 Finale:

1) The duet with Kris Allen and Keith Urban is really cool! I love the song!!!! I'm gonna buy the performance on I Tunes.

2) Katrina Darrell coming out in a bikini (AGAIN) shocked me. And then I realized, it was the size of her chest that shocked me. Holy cow. Naked Girls shouldn't be allowed out of the house with her knockers on. I wanted to blindfold David Cook's eyes.

Really, President Arroyo, Bureau of Customs and your gang of goons?!
I AM SICK OF YOUR SHIT.

So much for Fidelity to Duty. So much for being a MODEL STUDENT OF THE ASSUMPTION.

You're just like the Assumption NUNS. HYPOCRITE AND CORRUPT.
