The Workaholic

A few of my colleagues have pointed out how much of a workaholic I am. They see me at work, day in and day out. Plus, they also know that I have another job. All in all, I work pretty much, every single day. I've worked straight for 2 weeks, no day off. My next day off is on Sunday, when I leave for Chicago.

Anyway, my colleagues say I should go out and party. I do party, but not as often as I used to. It gets old, partying. It's only worth going out when I'm surrounded by my closest friends. Otherwise, I'll probably just have a drink or two and then go home. I've done my fair share of partying in high school and college anyway. It's time to grow up now I think.

There's probably worse things than being a workaholic. I could be a total pothead. Or worse, a bum. My dad hates that. Everyone back home probably thought I was going to be a bum and live off him. I really didn't have much motivation to work back home and that was what I was planning to do. But since I was able to go to follow my dream and go to CIA, I've pretty much reformed.

We've got one at work, our intern. His brain is totally fried from doing too much drugs (not just pot). My colleague calls him "Luigi" from Ratatouille since they look exactly alike. Plus, he's clumsy and goofy. He's a nice kid though. But he's pretty much useless in the kitchen.

The chefs have given up on him and don't bother teaching him anything anymore since he doesn't listen. So every time he messes up, they ask me to fix it. Today he was supposed to break down monkfish so my chef told me to give him a demo. I gave him a demo with my boning knife so I let him do one. He insisted on breaking it down with his DULL chef's knife. I watched him almost murder the fish before I shooed him away and just did it for him. I pointed out that he should sharpen his knife but he totally just disregarded it. I'm like "WHATEVER!"

If you don't know what working with a dull knife is like, try it at home. Good luck.

I have nothing against potheads. I just have something against potheads who make dumb mistakes and then I have to cover for those mistakes.

Here's some videos of my foster dog uploaded by his adoptive mother.

Awwww, I really miss Bo and Constantine. They were such fun foster dogs. They are in good homes now though. I am really glad. I wonder how Constantine is doing.

I miss MADDY the most. *tear*
