i took shelly to see the rebecca st james concert. we got front row seats 5 and 6 away from the center aisle. overall the concert was good. there were 2 opening acts charmagne (sp??) and evie. charmagne was a good singer but evie wasnt my style. she was more of what my parents grew up listening to in the 50s and early 60s. rebecca was awsome. i cant believe shes almost 30. she looks mostly the same as the last time i saw her 11 yrs ago. the only major drawback was they had the ac cranked way down and even with my jacket on and the hottest stage lights on, i was still freezing. the concert ran from 7 - 9:30 pm. i kinda splurged at the merch table buying $81 worth. i got 3 cds, 2 t-shirts, and 4 posters. after the concert rebbeca went to the family christian stores in ankeny to sign autographs. i got 4 items signed and shelly got 3 items signed. after that i took shelly home to baxter via the backroads of bondurant (she wanted to show me where her family lives). i stayed over till morning and drove back to ames.
