Here are the details of my next show for those of you who have been asking -
Twelfth Night
28th September to 8th October (Wednesdays to Saturdays), 7.30pm
St Barnabas Chapel, Manette Street, Soho, W1D (which is off Charing Cross Road and is the street with Foyles, the Cro Bar, and the Borderline)
Warnings:
-I don’t have a huge part (boo-hoo).
-I am playing a man.
-My costume is the least flattering thing imaginable.
-Some of the actors aren’t hugely experienced with Shakespeare.
The positives:
-I get to do a West Country accent.
-The director is good so the show should be fun.
-The venue is a gorgeous little church that most people have never seen, as it's not usually open to the public. This year it’s part of the Open House weekend, so it obviously has architectural merit (even the organ is listed).
-The music score is strange synth-pop and it’s great.
-The costumes are 80s-inspired.
-The money goes to charity (a women's shelter).
